I am in-network with Aetna, United and Cigna. If you have one of these insurances, your visits will be covered. I will bill your insurance directly.
Email me at rachel@rhlactation.com with questions or regarding your coverage from other insurances. For all other plans, I will charge you directly and then provide you a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Home visits to Wyoming will incur a $75 travel fee, in addition to visit charges payable through insurance or credit card. I offer a sliding scale for payment for people with WIC or Food Stamps.
The Affordable Care Act specifies that insurance companies cover preventive services and eliminate cost sharing for those services. Preventive services that have strong scientific evidence of their health benefits must be covered, and plans can no longer charge a patient cost-sharing in the form of a copayment or coinsurance on the services, or through applying services towards a deductible when delivered by a network provider. This includes, "Comprehensive lactation support and counseling, by a trained provider during pregnancy and/or in the postpartum period, and costs for renting breastfeeding equipment."
